Secondary Structural Framing
The secondry structured framing system consists of Purlins, girts and eave struts are used to support the wall and roof panels. The cold rolled Z sections are called as Purlins when they put on the roofs as well as girts when they put on walls. Purlins are used to support the roof panels and girts for wall panels. Eave structs are placed at the intersection of the roof with the wall to transfer the forces accordingly.
The secondary structural framing members are designed in accordance with the 1986 Edition of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
